Lor Mee

I am sure not many people will like food that is sticky and gooey, but today, I am going to change all of your opinions on sticky and gooey food! Today’s dish that I will be introducing to all of you is Lor Mee. Lor mee or is a Chinese inspired noodle dish. It is served in a thick starchy gravy with thick flat yellow noodles. It is a Hokkien dish. Usually, ingredients like ngo hiang, fish cake, pork, char siew and eggs are added into the dish.

Today, I will be recommending this stall that sells the best lor mee in Singapore.
Address:
Bukit Purmei Lor Mee
Blk 109, Bukit Purmei Ave
#01-157
7.30am to 3.30pm
Closed on Mondays
So, you might be wondering – why is this stall’s lor mee the best? My answer to your question is the contrast of textures. It is not an easy feat to get so many textures in a perfect balance. However, the stall owner managed to do just that. In that simple bowl of lor mee, it is gooey, sticky, crunchy and savoury. The stall owner said that his sauce is made from pork bones, spices and egg whites. It is made fresh every morning when he goes to the stall at 5am. The chopped garlic and black vinegar also plays an important part in balancing out the taste, giving it a well-balanced and rounded plate which coats the whole of the plate.

 Go give it a try and comment to tell me whether you liked it or not! Till next time, bye! J

I find lor mee kind of disgusting as their appearance is just so sticky & I never dare to try them! However, I went to try them because I trust your recommendations! (;
Amazingly, this stall's lor mee changed my opinion of it! It wasn't as sticky as I thought all lor mee would be like. In fact, it's really yummy! A big thank you to all your good food recommendations!
